Advisory Board

The advisory board of BIMUN/SINUB e.V. consists of former members of the executive board who have been elected by the plenary assembly for a three-year term. The advisory board provides overall support to the executive board and the team members of BIMUN/SINUB e.V. and thus promotes continuity within the association’s activities.

Motivation: In 2008 I was a member of the Executive Board and responsible for Guest and Event Coordination. Above all, I enjoyed working in a team, which was a unique experience to me. As a member of the Advisory Board I would like to support the association in its professional work. On a personal level, I consider it important to keep up the social character, the enthusiasm as well as the motivation and the committment that has shaped our association during the past years.

Motivation: My interest in the work of the United Nations and the possibility to meet people from every corner of the world to work on common solutions for challenges of international politics fascinated me about BIMUN/SINUB e.V. As a member of the advisory board it is my great pleasure to work with the team to attract more young and motivated people to Bonn and help sharpen the awareness of the work of the United Nations.

Motivation: I think it’s great that BIMUN/SINUB e.V. offers many opportunities for students who want to engage in extra-curricular activities that deal with important topics. Of course, the annual conference is always a highlight, but also the many different projects realized throughout the year make the BIMUN/SINUB experience invaluable. In order to continuously work on the development of these projects, I decided to become a member of the Advisory Board.

Motivation: Motivated by the great experiences I have made on various Model United Nations conferences and by meeting other ambitious students from all over the world, I decided to dedicate more of my time and energy to serve the extraordinary idea of BIMUN/SINUB e.V. I am proud to be able to contribute to the ongoing success story of this endeavor. Getting a glance of International Diplomacy, conducting active development cooperation and experiencing a high level of commitment are reason enough to be fascinated with this project.

Christian Pohlmann

Motivation: BIMUN/SINUB e.V. attracts active and committed students who contribute to the promotion of   international cooperation and understanding. For me, BIMUN/SINUB e.V. offers the opportunity to relax from politics and my job when I sit down in a team meeting on a Wednesday night and engage in debate with other people.

Motivation: Since I came in touch with BIMUM/SINUB e.V. in 2006, I’m thrilled by BIMUN/SINUB e.V.! To share the idea of a world community with many students from all over the world and to act diplomatically at a Model United Nations conference is a great and especially instructive experience. Therefore, I’m committed to BIMUN/SINUB e.V. and I’m glad to work again for this brilliant idea.

Motivation: The BIMUN/SINUB Conference offers a wonderful opportunity to meet amazing people from around the world and to develop oneself while working in a great team and learning new things. It is a pleasure to contribute to this great annual project and to the other activities of the organization.
